The Historic Main Street Merchants Association promotes all the life and beauty Chincoteague Island has to offer! We're a group of all types of merchants located in the Main Street area, who work together to create unique experiences and enhance your enjoyment of our island life. Merchants who are members offer opportunities for you to shop, enjoy great food, boat and land tours, be entertained, find a place to stay during your visit and/or enjoy one of our special weekend experiences. Weekend events include our annual scavenger hunts Death by Chocolate and Search for the Shamrocks, plus Shop the Dock at Robert Reed Park on the third Sunday of each month from April to October.

Fall is here and our last outdoor event of the year is looking to have beautiful weather!
Our vendors will be gathered in the park for the last outdoor event of the year and are ready for you to stop by and shop.
We will have a couple special features this event so stay tuned for those announcements. We also will have all the information for Trick or Treat Main St & the Christmas Parade this year!

Saturday, October 31st -- HALLOWEEN! Join us in the downtown Robert Reed Park for music and treats and for pumpkin decorating from 3:00-4:00pm, plus the winners of the Facebook costume contest at 3:30pm... Prizes for the "cutest", "scariest", and "best overall"... Please follow the safety guidelines and wear a mask and observe the 6 foot rule!
The 41st Annual Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade "A Season of Thankfulness" at 6pm on December 5th... Visit beautiful Chincoteague Island and celebrate an annual Christmas tradition – the Chincoteague Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade! There will be some changes to the parade this year due to continued social distancing guidelines. The parade begins at a new time this year – 6pm and the parade route has been extended! The parade will begin at the intersection of Main Street and Maddox Boulevard, head down Main Street and end at Bunting Road. Attendees are asked to spread out across the parade route for safety to see enchanting floats, bands, marching units, decorated boats, fire companies from across the Eastern Shore, equestrian teams, classic cars, and more.
